Of course I would! :-) But the thing I want to point out is that many success books and coaches and the like make it seem as if you can make a contact and have work from that contact a week later. I don't know about other lines of work, but since mine is project-oriented and seasonal, it doesn't work that way. It's about relationships and keeping in touch and being on hand so that your face/name/video is the first thing they think about when a client has a need. And again, this particular job has been two years in the making. I wasn't pushy; in spite of my willingness to promote myself shamelessly, I've never been comfortable being a super-aggressive salesperson. I just send an email newsletter with (hopefully) helpful articles every two months and a reconnection call every four months or so. So I'm thrilled to have this chance to work through MC2, and yes, I'm nursing a fervent hope that this will be the beginning of a long and mutually-beneficial relationship! And you know what? As we shook hands after this morning's meeting, Doug thanked me for being so persistent!
